Midwest Payment Signs Sumner National Bank

Cincinnati-based Midwest Payment Systems has signed a contract with National Bank of Sumner, Ill., to provide electronic funds transfer and Jeanie network services.

By joining the Jeanie automated teller machine network, Sumner offers its customers 24-hour access to more than 1,200 ATMs in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Florida, Tennessee, Rhode Island, and North Carolina. Sumner has only one ATM of its own.

In addition, Sumner will be participating in the MasterMoney program, the MasterCard off-line debit program that enables consumers to use their Jeanie ATM at more than 12 million MasterCard-accepting merchants worldwide.

Midwest Payment Systems is the data processing subsidiary of Fifth Third Bancorp, a Cincinnati-based banking company with $17.2 billion of assets.
