The board at Professional Bancorp has named president Melinda McIntyre-Kolpin interim chief executive.
Ms. McIntyre-Kolpin is the $293 million-asset bank's second CEO since July, when founder Joel W. Kovner was ousted in a proxy fight. His interim replacement, John Buchanan, has also left the bank.
The bank, which specializes in services to health care providers, will get a permanent CEO before the end of the year, according to a statement.
Ms. McIntyre-Kolpin is chief executive of Network Health Financial Services Inc., a firm that specializes in capital markets work for health care companies. Professional Bancorp and Network Health are currently trying to forge a strategic alliance to complement the bank's services to physicians' groups and other health-care companies.
