UMB Bank Kansas Names Executives

UMB Bank Kansas, Overland Park, elected its chief executive, William C. Tempel, as chairman, succeeding Ray Guthrie, who retired in March.

Mr. Tempel will remain CEO, a title he has held since 1993.

He will share all responsibilities with Terry Reynolds, who was elected president of the bank. Mr. Reynolds had been president of its Johnson County banking center.

The unit of UMB Financial Corp., Kansas City, Mo., has also hired five officers:

*Joan M. Bowen, trust officer, personal trust department.

*Judith P. Countryman, personal banking officer, personal banking department.

*Belinda S. Korte, technology officer, investment banking division.

*Jill Marie Evans, operations systems and technology officer, central securities department.

*Mark R. Vlasic, trust officer, employee benefits division.
