Experienced Lender Hired By Neb. Thrift For a New Post

Home Federal Savings and Loan Association of Nebraska in Lexington hired Homer E. Pierce to be senior vice president and manager of commercial and agricultural lending.

The job is a newly created post at the $82 million-asset thrift.

Mr. Pierce started his banking career in 1967 at Overland National Bank, Grand Island, Neb., as an assistant in the commercial lending department; he later became vice president-commercial lending at First National Bank of Minden.

In January 1974, Mr. Pierce joined an investment group that bought Seven Valleys State Bank, Callaway, Neb. He was executive vice president and manager of the bank and in 1978 became its president, serving until Lexington State Bank and Trust Co. acquired it in 1989. He was executive vice president of Lexington State Bank until it was sold to United Nebraska Bank last year.
