Crestar Financial Names Executive

Crestar Financial Corp., Richmond, Va., has elected Robert C. Wilburn as a director.

Mr. Wilburn has been president and chief executive of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation since 1992. For the preceding eight years he'd been president of the Carnegie Institute and Library in Pittsburgh.

He was Pennsylvania's education secretary in 1984 and budget secretary in 1979-83, president of Indiana University of Pennsylvania from 1975-79, vice president of economic research at Chase Manhattan Bank from 1972-75, and a Defense Department and White House public policy economist from 1967-72.
