Wachovia to Issue Visa Card for BMG Entertainment

Wachovia Bank Card Services said Monday that it would issue a cobranded Visa card for the music company BMG Entertainment North America.

The low-rate, no-fee card will be available to consumers in September.

Cardholders will earn points toward rewards related to BMG artists, like concert tickets, compact discs, and backstage passes. They'll earn extra points by using their cards at selected retailers.

It is the first cobranding deal for Wachovia, which with $5 billion in outstandings and three million accounts is the nation's 19th-largest credit card issuer.

BMG Entertainment North America includes the music labels Arista Records and RCA Records.
