Capital Briefs: New FDIC Chairman Takes Oath of Office

Donna A. Tanoue was sworn in Tuesday as chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.

The Honolulu banking attorney and former Hawaii banking commissioner is the 17th chairman in the agency's 65-year history. She succeeds acting Chairman Andrew C. Hove Jr., who has returned to the vice chairmanship.
