MasterCard International announced the appointment of Andre Sekulic as president of its Asia/Pacific region.
Mr. Sekulic, who has spent more than 12 years with MasterCard, succeeded James Cassin, now president emeritus. Mr. Sekulic was deputy president under Mr. Cassin, a former U.S. retail banker who had headed Asia/Pacific since 1990.
Mr. Sekulic also was general manager for Australia and New Zealand.
"Given the dynamic nature of financial services, MasterCard needs a strong leader ... in Asia/Pacific," Mr. Cassin said. "Andre has been with the company long enough to understand what is needed to continue to grow our business, especially during these challenging times."
