Merrill Lynch & Co. on Thursday named Richard A. Dunn as senior vice
Mr. Dunn, 35, has been co-head of global equity markets. He succeeds
Paul D. Roy, who has been the other co-head of global equity markets,
Mr. Dunn joined Merrill in 1990. He will report to E. Stanley O'Neal,

The top five banks and thrifts have combined total assets of nearly $13 trillion.
After several quarters of slumping investment banking and trading fees, the Charlotte, North Carolina-based company reported a big uptick from that division, which helped compensate for a large decline in net interest income.
