Card Briefs: Verifone Terminals Set For Mexico Gas Outlets

Verifone Inc. said it will supply point of sale terminals for 4,000 gasoline stations in Mexico.

FleetOne de Mexico, a gas station supplier and subsidiary of Williams Co., has agreed with Mexico's National Association of Gas Stations, Onexpo, to provide card technology in 1999.

FleetOne selected Verifone, a subsidiary of Hewlett-Packard Co., to supply terminals that accept credit, debit, and prepaid cards. The companies have done a pilot test at 100 gas stations.
