Silicon Valley Bank Names Executive

Silicon Valley Bank in Santa Clara, Calif., has hired Thomas Wagner as an executive vice president in its corporate finance group.

Mr. Wagner led ABN Amro Bank's semiconductor-industry practice in San Francisco. Earlier he was in corporate finance at CIBC Wood Gundy Securities in San Francisco, in its information technology group. He has 15 years of investment and commercial banking experience, including eight in technology industries.

At Silicon Valley Bank he will report to Jim Anderson, executive vice president and manager of the corporate finance division. The unit serves emerging-growth technology and life-sciences companies as well as managing the bank's mezzanine investment portfolio.

Silicon Valley also hired Stephen Rogers as the head of its cash management division and a senior vice president. Mr. Rogers led the strategic business development group in treasury management for Pittsburgh- based PNC Bank.
