In Brief: NYCE to Keep Its Name After Merger Closes

NYCE Corp. and Magic Line Inc. will use the NYCE brand name after the imminent close of their merger, the companies announced Thursday.

The two electronic payment service providers, which together serve 35,000 automated teller machines and 185,000 point of sale locations in the Northeast and Midwest, announced their merger Dec. 21.

NYCE's headquarters will remain in Woodcliff Lake, N.J., and Dennis F. Lynch will continue as NYCE's president and chief executive officer. John G. Bascom, currently president and chief executive officer of Magic Line, will be executive vice president of NYCE and president of its Midwest regional business unit in Dearborn, Mich.
