The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago Names Executive

The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago has promoted Richard Cahill to vice president.

He is to be division leader for bank and holding company supervision of regional and community banks. He succeeds Barb Benson, who was named vice president for human resources.

Mr. Cahill was most recently the regional director for Indiana and Michigan bank and bank holding company supervision. He joined the Chicago Fed in 1992 as a senior examiner. Earlier he was a vice president at Barclay's Bank PLC in New York, Seattle, and Chicago.
