ABN Amro North America Inc Names Executives

ABN Amro North America Inc. in Chicago has promoted senior vice president and senior associate general counsel Carol L. Tenyak to group senior vice president and deputy general counsel of its legal department.

Ms. Tenyak, 42, is to oversee ABN Amro's legal groups in its North American subsidiaries: EAB Bank in New York, LaSalle Bank in Chicago, and Standard Federal Bank in Michigan.

She joined ABN Amro's legal department in 1982.

The subsidiary of the Amsterdam-based banking company has also promoted its director of corporate communications, Jocelyn B. Hamlar, from first vice president to senior vice president.

Ms. Hamlar, 45, is responsible for advertising, public relations, and marketing communications for the company's North American offices.

She joined ABN Amro's LaSalle Bank in 1986. Earlier she was director of marketing at WXRT-FM radio in Chicago.

Ms. Hamlar left LaSalle in 1991 to be director of marketing at WBEZ-FM radio in Chicago but rejoined the bank in 1993 as a vice president in corporate communications.

The North American subsidiary has $162 billion of assets.
