offering to its trust clients this week.
The subsidiary of Mercantile Bankshares Corp. began selling the Offit High Yield Fund Tuesday along with its family of 13 MSD&T Funds as part of a program similar to a wrap structure, said Kevin J. Dachille, a senior vice president of the bank.
A separate class of the fund has been created for Mercantile, which sells it under the name MSD&T shares of the Offit High Yield Fund, Mr. Dachille said.
The fund is managed by Offitbank, a New York-based subsidiary of Wachovia Corp. of Winston-Salem, N.C., and has $3.75 billion of assets.
The MSD&T Funds, with $2.6 billion of assets under management, are sold only to Mercantile's trust clients.
