Tech Bytes: Bottomline Offering E-Payments Software

Bottomline Technologies Inc. has introduced Internet-based payments software to simplify the initiation of electronic and paper-based payments from remote locations.

WebPay Series lets employees send payment requests to headquarters via the Internet. Authorized managers can approve transactions, convert payment requests into an automated clearing house or check format, and forward the information to the corporation's bank for execution.

"The PayBase-Secure WebPay Series strategically positions our clients to maintain market share in today's burgeoning on-line business community," said Dan McGurl, president and co-founder of Bottomline Technologies.

Bottomline officials said Gensler & Associates, an architectural design firm in San Francisco, is using the software.
