Robert Daigle To Be CEO of Maine's Camden National Corp.

Robert W. Daigle, the president and chief executive officer of Camden National Bank in Camden, Maine, will also assume those titles at its holding company in May.

He will succeed Keith C. Patten after Camden National Corp.'s annual meeting. Mr. Patten will retire.

Mr. Daigle came to the bank in January 1996 from Fleet Bank of Maine, a unit of Boston-based Fleet Financial Group. He was regional president in charge of northern and eastern Maine.

Mr. Patten has been president and CEO of Camden National Corp. since 1984, when it was established. He joined Camden National Bank in 1977 as executive vice president and was named its president and a director two years later.

The bank has $597 million of assets.
