The online bill-payment vendor iPay Technologies Inc. has introduced an electronic invoicing system for small businesses.

The Elizabethtown, Ky., company's Billpayperless system, announced Monday, lets businesses set up Web sites hosted by eBay Inc.'s PayPal Inc.

Users can generate electronic invoices with the system, and their customers can remit payments through the site using credit cards or a PayPal account.

Most business payments are still made by check, and many financial companies have developed electronic remittance systems to automate these paper-intensive processes.
