Robert E. Bostrom, executive vice president and general counsel of Freddie Mac, will resign from his post effective July 29.

Bostrom informed the government-sponsored enterprise of his intentions on July 7, Freddie Mac said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission Wednesday.

John Dye, principal deputy general counsel for corporate affairs, will serve as interim general counsel until a successor is named, said Freddie Mac spokesman Brad German.

Bostrom, who had worked at Freddie Mac for six years, accepted a senior position at law firm SNR Denton, the GSE said.
