Peer-to-peer loan facilitator Lending Club Corp. says a record $20 million of consumer loans were funded through its website in June, bringing the total amount of loans originated to more than $300 million since 2007.

The amount of loans originated in June was 7% more than in the previous month, and double the volume in June 2010, the San Francisco company said Thursday.

Total interest paid to investors since the site's inception four years ago is $25 million, the company said.

As of July 1, the average Lending Club borrower has income of $70,000 and a credit score of 716.
