ICBA Bancard is partnering with the payment processor Vantiv to provide payment services for the Independent Community Bankers of America's member banks.

Vantiv will join up with the ICBA subsidiary to offer its members credit card and merchant services, including account-management tools, sales and marketing support, and payment management.  Vantiv offers these services through a proprietary technological platform and aims to make credit card issuance and account management easier for community banks, according to the news release announcing the partnership.

"This relationship with Vantiv will undoubtedly help our community bankers meet and exceed their consumer and small business customers' expectations while strengthening the total banking relationship," said ICBA Bancard chairman Noah Wilcox in the news release.

ICBA Bancard has been expanding its payment services in recent months, having announced in November that it was adding Visa's digital wallet service to its suite of offerings.
