BBVA Compass has selected Kony Inc.'s application design platform as it looks to create some new mobile banking applications, according to a March 23 press release.
With Kony's cloud-based platform, Spanish-owned BBVA Compass plans to design and roll out mobile banking apps that span several operating systems and platforms.
The $79.6 billion-asset bank chose Kony, in part, because of its platform's ability to deploy a single design across multiple operating systems and platforms, according to the press release.
"We want to give our clients access to banking services anywhere, any time, and on the device of their choice," said Jeff Dennes, BBVA Compass chief digital banking officer, in the release. "We anticipate that Kony's mobile application solution will help us do this by streamlining workflows, accelerating development timeframes and lowering total costs of ownership."
In addition, the bank said it hopes using Kony's platform will improve integration with back-end systems and simplify app maintenance and management.
