Business First Bancshares in La. Promotes Two Executives

Business First Bancshares in Baton Rouge, La., has promoted two executives to newly created roles.

Greg Robertson was named chief banking officer of the $735 million-asset company and Sonya Jarvis was named chief operations officer, both effective July 1.

Robertson has been with the company for 20 years, most recently as chief executive of Business First Bank's western region. In his new role he will lead a production team comprised of three geographic regions, as well as wealth management, treasury management and credit.

Jarvis has been at Business First since 2007 and was previously chief risk officer. She will retain that responsibility in her new position and also serve as the bank's primary coordinator of regulatory interface. She will also oversee administration, information technology and risk management and compliance.

"These new positions consolidate reporting relationships in a way that will encourage communications and collaboration across locations and departments within the bank," Jude Melville, chief executive, said in a news release.

Additionally, Business First promoted Philip Jordan to CEO of its western region, succeeding Robertson in the position.
