Coastal Banking in Beaufort, S.C., has promoted the head of its mortgage banking division to president of CBC National Bank.
Charles Wagner succeeded Michael Sanchez, who will remain chief executive of both the bank and the $513 million-asset holding company. Wagner will also join the bank and holding company's boards of directors.
In addition to leading CBC's mortgage division, Wagner has led the bank's strategic planning process since 2013. He joined CBC in 2007.
"Wagner has... [helped] build the mortgage division from nothing into a business unit doing more than $2 billion in annual volume," Sanchez said in a news release.
Brynn Stensrud, head of operations and credit risk for CBC's mortgage division, will succeed Wagner.
