Regions in Alabama Adds Florida Insurance Agency

Regions Financial in Birmingham, Ala., has added an insurance agency in Florida.

The $121 billion-asset company said in a press release Monday that it had absorbed Ronald F. Holehouse Agency and its team of agents. Regions did not disclose how much it paid for the insurance agency’s client accounts.

Regions said that adding the firm would help it grow in Florida and enhance its flood insurance services.

"We are pleased to expand our personal and business insurance capabilities, as well as our presence in Florida through the addition of the Holehouse Agency," Curren Coco, chief executive of Regions Insurance, said in the release.

The Holehouse team has "extensive experience meeting the unique insurance needs of individuals and businesses in coastal markets, particularly in the flood insurance space," Coco added. "Our agreement … is the latest example of how we continue to expand the scope and reach of Regions Insurance."

This is the second Regions Insurance office in Florida; the first opened late last year.
