Zions Bancorp. in Salt Lake City has named Karin Lockovitch director of compliance.
Lockovitch joins the $55 billion-asset company from SunTrust Banks in Atlanta, where she oversaw regulatory compliance of its consumer and small-business banking divisions as consumer compliance officer. Before that she was the senior director of regulatory risk management at Ally Financial.
She succeeds Norm Merritt, who retired in July, according to a Zions spokeswoman.
In her 16-year career, Lockovitch has also worked for Target Bank, Lehman Brothers Commercial Bank and American Express Centurion Bank.
