Dan Henry, a director of the prepaid debit card company NetSpend Corp., has been named its chief executive, the Austin company announced Wednesday.
Mr. Henry succeeds Richard J. Savard, who has left the company.
In November, Capital One Financial Corp. cancelled plans to buy the company for $700 million and instead bought a minority stake.
Mr. Henry was a co-founder of the electronic payments company Euronet Worldwide Inc.
