B of A Hires Asset Management Exec

Bank of America Corp. said Tuesday that it has hired Steven J. Niemczyk as global head of asset management investment banking in Bank of America Merrill Lynch's global corporate and investment banking business.

In June, Niemczyk will move to the company's New York office from London, where he held a similar position at UBS AG.

Michael Rubinoff, who runs the Bank of America Merrill Lynch unit, said in a press release: "We expect to see more consolidation and increased capital needs among financial institutions, including asset managers. Steve's expertise in advising asset management companies is a vital addition to our team."
