Lansing, Mich.-based LAFCU hosted a “Breakfast with Santa” holiday party that was free to the public as a way to give the community a festive, no-cost holiday celebration. LAFCU staffers, pictured here with the big red guy, acted as Santa’s helpers during the event.

Happy and healthy holidays

The RTN Employees Community Outreach Committee at Waltham, Mass.-based RTN FCU helped provide holiday cheer to the local community by “adopting” eight children from the region for the festive season in partnership with the group Healthy Waltham. The groups supported children ages 8 to 11 who are part of Africano Waltham, a local program supporting the children of African immigrants.

Boulder, Col.-based Elevations Credit Union hosted a month-long toy drive for nonprofits including Realities for Children and Share-A-Gift. His year marked the 10th consecutive year ECU has collected toys to benefit needy children during the holiday season.

Surpassing the annual goal

MetroWest Community FCU in Framingham, Mass. announced it exceeded its goal of $6,000 in charitable donations for the year, topping $9,000 as of Dec. 16, 2019. Throughout the year, the credit union has donated to Boys & Girls Club of MetroWest, the Camp Arrowhead American Veterans Association and more.
