WARWICK, R.I. – One unlucky member of Greenwood CU who lost a wad of cash containing $762 by the credit union ATM Saturday may see a change of fortune this morning–if he bothers to check with the Warwick Police.

That’s who has the bundle of cash that was found by another credit union member using the ATM.
The Good Samaritan, identified as Anthony Saccoccia, tried to return the wayward cash to the credit union, but it was closed. So he took the money home and called police, who came and picked it up.
A police spokesman said they plan to contact the credit union this morning and see who can lay claim to the money.
