PARCHMENT, Mich.—Advia Credit Union is now the name of the new $ 1 billion entity formed by the merger of two Michigan CUs.
In October NCUA approved the merger of the $705 million First Community FCU here and the $290 million E&A Credit Union in Port Huron, Mich.
Cheryl DeBoer, president of First Community, is now president and CEO of the new credit union that has more than 100,000 members and 21 locations throughout Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin.
The credit union plans to expand its field of membership within Michigan to include state-wide membership to those who live or work anywhere in the state.
