APPLE VALLEY, Calif. – Alaska USA Federal Credit Union on Thursday said it has introduced its mortgage lending services to the High Desert area of Southern California, east of Los Angeles.
“When Alaska USA entered the High Desert market last summer, we were committed to offering local mortgage lending services,” said Jerry Reed, executive director of mortgage and real estate lending. “The combination of local professionals, full service, and 35 years of responsible lending is key to Alaska USA’s mortgage lending services.”
Alaska USA said it has hired seven local, experienced mortgage originators and support staff for the new mortgage lending office, which is in the former administrative offices of High Desert FCU. Alaska USA purchased the facility last year. The regional VP of Alaska USA’s mortgage lending in the High Desert area is Don Wansten, an 18-year resident of Apple Valley.
