Amplify FCU Pumps Volume On Expansion Plans

AUSTIN, Texas – Amplify FCU, a former IBM employees credit union, said it hopes to build as many as 15 branches over the next three years.

The first branch will be opened downtown in July, giving the $535 credit union six service facilities.

The expansion plans include an investment of as much as $1 million in salaries and training on the information technology side, and another $2 million in computers, software and other IT equipment, according to Amplify officials.

Another focus this year will be to increase lending to local businesses, including small businesses seeking loans in the range of $50,000 to $1 million.
