KENSINGTON, Md. – Lafayette FCU said yesterday its members had voted to approve the conversion of the $330 million credit union to a mutual savings bank. Credit union officials did not reveal the vote but said the results have been submitted to NCUA for certification. Lafayette officials said it expects NCUA to rule no later than Jan. 2. If approved, Lafayette will be the 31st credit union to complete the conversion to mutual savings bank.
