WASHINGTON – Regulators shuttered three more banks Friday, making a total of 149 bank failures for 2010.
Friday’s failures were: $750 million First Banking Center, Burlington, Wis.; $107 million Allegiance Bank of North America, Bala Cynwyd, Penn. and $112 million Gulf State Community Bank, Carrabelle, Fla. Allegiance Bank was the first failure in Pennsylvania this year.
This year’s bank failures top the 140 failures last year.
