Verity CU's Roll on Seattle campaign generated immediate response, the $422 million-asset CU reports. The photo contest, which hands out a $250 gift card for the wining photo, increased the CU's number of Facebook "likes" by 68%, which Verity stated brought details of the bike loan to 68% more people. On Monday afternoon, the CU's Facebook page had 1,120 "likes."

The contest was launched using the social media service CafeGive Social — a social marketing app company.

The new loan includes no payment for 90 days, and loan amounts ranging from $500 to $7,500.

In addition, for each of the first 100 photo entries, the CU donated $5 to Bikeworks Seattle, a nonprofit that supports sustainability initiatives, bicycle education and safety.
