GREENWOOD, Ind. – A pair of robbers who met on the Internet earlier confessed to as many as 11 armed hold-ups in four states, including a September heist at Warren Township Schools’ FCU in Indianapolis.
The pair, who compared themselves to the famous bank robbers, Bonnie and Clyde, was being held yesterday in the county jail while they await extradition to Louisville, Ky., on charges of at least one bank robbery.
Police said Savannah Myers, 20, went into the banks and committed the robberies, while Ronald Palmer, 34, waited outside and drove the getaway car. The two have confessed to robbing two institutions in Indianapolis, as well as others in Louisville, Jeffersonville and Dayton, Ohio. The two stole as much as $100,000, but most of the cash was ruined because the dye packs exploded after many of the robberies.
