Brothers Jailed For Failed CU Holdup

ORLANDO, Fla. – Two brothers last week pleaded guilty to charges related to a gas station robbery last year and a botched heist at Community Educator’s CU that followed.

Two brothers, Ramiret Davis, 25, and Loranzo Thomas, 23, robbed the gas station in Titusville of $700, then two days later drove to the credit union’s local branch and were preparing to commit a robbery. They were spotted by a witness, who promptly called the police. The police responded and were able to prevent the robbery and arrest the brothers. At the time of arrest, Davis and Thomas were found with a revolver, a pump shotgun, and a sawed-off shotgun.

Ramiret Davis was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison, and his younger brother, Loranzo Thomas, was sentenced to 13 years and seven months behind bars.
