GLENDALE, Calif. - (06/06/06) -- California CU announced Monday ithas awarded $1,000 college scholarships to 35 students, one of thelargest credit union scholarship programs. Students need not bemembers of the credit unions to be eligible for the awards. The $1billion credit union expanded the program this year, the second ofits existence, by adding 10 more scholarships. In addition, for thefirst time continuing and graduating students at any of the nineLos Angeles Community Colleges now qualify for theprogram.
