Calling For Best Practices Nominations

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.-Credit Union Journal is now calling for nominations and entries for its 2013 Best Practices Awards.

Processing Content

As always, we have made the awards very easy to be a part of. The awards are free, and are open to natural-person and corporate credit unions and CUSOs, as well as vendors and associations that may nominate a client/member credit union.

The Best Practice Awards deliberately avoid categories, and are aimed at recognizing achievements across the entire credit union enterprise, from improved member service, cross-sales, loan promotions, revenue growth, awareness, technology, expense reductions, better deployment of staff, facilities, branch strategies, training, board programs, etc. In short, if your credit union or credit union customer has done something you believe deserves recognition and which other CUs could learn from, the Journal's Best Practices Awards are for you.

The criteria for entry are simple:

* The Best Practice must have been deployed on or after May 1, 2012.

* You are welcome to nominate more than one Best Practice if you are a credit union or CUSO, and more than one credit union if you are a vendor, CUSO or association.

* The entry should include 500 words or fewer on why you believe a Best Practice has been created and deployed.

* The nomination essay should include as many tangible measures as practical (including ROI where available) documenting the best practice; the background on environment prior to the implementation of the best practice; factors driving adoption of the best practice, and any new products/solutions deployed to achieve the best practice. And, of course, results.

Credit Union Journal traditionally features between 20-25 Best Practices of all types and budgets, and we especially encourage smaller credit unions to take a moment or two and nominate themselves. This year's winners will appear in the Nov. 25 issue.

Best Practice nominations should be sent to Editor Frank J. Diekmann at fdiekmann@cujournal.com.

Deadline for entries is July 31.
