HOUSTON– Cardtronics, the world’s largest ATM deployer and a key credit union partner, reported net income this morning of $2.5 million for its second quarter, compared to a second quarter loss of $3.6 million last year.
The independent service organization reported revenues were down 3% to $121.4 million for the second quarter, but cost of operating revenue was down 11% to $87.1 million for the quarter.
For the first six months of the year, Cardtronics reported a 3% decline in revenues to $240 million, and a $2.6 million loss, down from a $8.5 million loss for the first half last year.
Cardtronics is the biggest player in electronic funds transfers for credit unions with connections to the CO-OP and Credit Union 24 ATM networks and Financial Service Centers Cooperative shared branching network.
