CDCUs to Train the Trainers for Homeownership Counseling

NEW YORK – The National Federation of CDCUs yesterday announced it has contracted with the National CU Foundation to train 22 homeownership trainers or counselors under a new federal grant.

The Federation’s CU Breakthrough consulting team will provide technical assistance and training on homeownership to qualified low-income buyers at the participating credit unions.

The $710,000 Department of Housing and Urban Development grant will be used by the National Foundation to provide matching funds to finance the homeownership programs at the various credit unions.
