OMAHA – Centris FCU announced this morning it is rolling out eight Nexxo Financial Corp. kiosks that will offer a menu of services to low-income consumers, including check cashing, money orders, pre-paid card loading, bill payment, money orders, and cash withdrawal--the first financial institution to launch the new service.
The green and orange “Bank-In-A Box” kiosks offer a variety of transactions from one touchscreen. Centris members can register at a kiosk, access several services, complete most transactions in less than one minute--and be remembered on return visits. While the kiosks are self-serve, Centris representatives are available to help, if needed, and the kiosk phone provides access to live customer care in both English and Spanish. Centris will soon offer a General Purpose Reloadable card to use at the kiosks, making its new services more convenient.
"With Nexxo's technology, we are achieving our goal of providing a full range of financial services to underserved customers in a cost-effective, convenient, and user-friendly way," said Kevin Parks, president of the $500 million credit union. "We are now able to serve the growing need for improved access to alternative financial services for both existing and new members."
Centris is opening the kiosks at four of its branches and four No Frills Supermarkets.
Nexxo Financial is based in Burlingame, Calif.
