ROCHESTER, Minn. – Paul Horgen, who built a former IBM employees credit union into a credit union giant, then converted it to a mutual savings bank earlier this year, announced his retirement yesterday from Think Mutual Bank.
Horgen, who was hired 20 years ago as CEO of IBM Mid-America Employees FCU, said he plans to retire be the end of 2008.
With $1.3 billion in assets, Think, named for the IBM Thinkpad laptop computer, became one of the largest credit unions to convert to mutual savings bank earlier this year.
