CFE FCU Adopts Symitar's Episys as Core Processor

CFE Federal Credit Union in Lake Mary, Fla., has added Jack Henry & Associates as its core processor.

The $1.6 billion-asset CFE installed Episys software for its core processing. CFE partnered with Symitar, a division of Jack Henry that focuses on credit unions.

Financial terms of the core-conversion agreement were not disclosed.

"We have been able to change the way we operate [information technology], eliminating nearly 90 man hours each month in processing time," Kevin Wright, CFE's senior vice president of information technology, said in a news release.

CFE has also adopted additional Symitar products, including ImageCenter for Check21 processing; RemitPlus; Synergy Document Management; and Synapsys for customer relationship management.

Additionally, CFE added Symitar's Advanced Reporting for Credit Unions, a data warehousing and reporting product.

"Added reporting capabilities has removed a data bottleneck and allowed a larger set of information from which to pull - enabling us to provide a faster reaction," Wright said in the release.

CFE Federal Credit Union was formed in April when Central Florida Educators FCU merged with Seminole Schools FCU in Sanford, Fla.
