Chartway FCU raised a whopping $215,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Eastern Virginia through its 6th annual Golf Classic. The Classic includes a glossy event program full of local sponsors (including presenting sponsor, Certegy, Inc.), a host of celebrities, including actress/singer Susan Anton and "Survivor's" Rudy Boesch, alumni from the Washington Redskins, and the tournament itself, which includes numerous prizes. Since 1999, Chartway has raised $567,500 for Make A Wish and underwritten the wishes of 126 local children.
