Check Scofflaw Arrested When He Comes Home For Funeral

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – A member of Sunmark FCU who tried to pass two bogus checks worth $100,000 at an Illinois casino was arrested here last week when he arrived in the area to attend a family member's funeral.

Richard Ruzzo, 41, attempted to cash the fraudulent checks at a casino in Aurora, Ill., said police. No money was exchanged.

Ruzzo was charged with two counts of attempted grand larceny.
