RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – CO-OP Financial Services has made a $100,000 donation for the second consecutive year to "Biz Kid$," the half-hour PBS television series designed to teach students how to make and manage money.
The program, which is in its second season of production, began airing on 279 PBS stations in 43 states on Sunday and is being overseen by the National CU Foundation. "Credit unions understand the importance of contributing to initiatives like Biz Kid$, which empowers kids to be financially responsible at a young age," said Stan Hollen, CO-OP Financial Services President/CEO.
Biz Kid$ is a joint project of Junior Achievement and the creators of "Bill Nye the Science Guy," another PBS program.
