CUs Support Hurricane Victims

* SECU Credit Union, Linthicum, Md., raised $10,000 for Hurricane Katrina survivors.

* Advantage FCU, Rochester, N.Y., donated $2,000 to the Red Cross for the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund.

* 1st Advantage FCU, Yorktown, Va., raised more than $200,000 for the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Fund.

* Alliant CU, Chicago, donated two months of collected mortgage fees to support Habitat for Humanity's Katrina rebuilding efforts.

* Hickam FCU, Honolulu, raised $1,600 for the American Red Cross.

* The New York Credit Union Foundation, Albany, collected more than $50,000 in Disaster Relief Fund donations to assist Gulf Coast region credit unions.

* SunCorp Corporate CU, Denver, donated $10,520 to several charities to assist victims of Hurricane Katrina.

* Washington State Employees CU, Olympia, Wash., contributed more than $13,000 to three disaster relief organizations.

* American Heritage FCU, Philadelphia, contributed $20,000 to Hurricane Katrina Relief.

* Advantage One FCU, Morrison, Ill., donated $8,707 to the Katrina Hurricane Relief effort.

* Consumers Cooperative CU, Waukegan, Ill., raised $7,518 in donations for the American Red Cross.

* Kinecta FCU, Manhattan Beach, Calif., donated more than $30,000 to the American Red Cross for hurricane relief.

* State Employees' Credit Union, Raleigh, N.C., contributed more than $36,800 to Hurricane Katrina Relief efforts.

* Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union, Lowell, Mass., raised more than $5,000 for the American Red Cross Katrina Relief Fund.

* The Arizona Credit Union Foundation, Phoenix, donated more than $59,000 to the National Credit Union Foundation to benefit hurricane relief assistance. In additional news, the Arizona Credit Union System collected $1,100 and designated it for the Louisiana CU League staff.

* Hershey FCU, Hershey, Penn., donated $1,206 to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

* Memphis Area Teachers Credit Union, Memphis, Tenn., donated $10,000 to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts for hurricane evacuees in the Mid-South area.

The marketing department of United Heritage CU, Austin, Texas, received seven marketing awards from the Texas CUL.

In Milwaukee, Wis., Point Plus CU cuts the ribbon at its new branch office designed and built by La Macchia Group.

Redwood CU, Santa Rosa, Calif., participated in Day of Caring and volunteered at local non-profit agencies.

Crescent CU, Brockton, Mass., was awarded a $111,250 Workforce Training Fund Grant.

Air Academy FCU held a grand re-opening of its Elbert High School branch in Colorado Springs, Colo., which included popcorn, movie cards and prize drawings.

Tri-Co Federal Credit Union, Randolph, N.J., held a grand opening celebration for its new facility in Augusta, N.J.
