CoVantage Credit Union to Buy Wis. Branch from Baraboo

CoVantage Credit Union in Antigo, Wis., has agreed to buy a branch from Baraboo Bancorp.

The $1.2 billion-asset CoVantage will acquire Baraboo's branch in Elcho, Wis. The branch is operated by the $433 million-asset Baraboo under its Northwoods National Bank trade name.

Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal still requires state and federal regulatory approval.

The Elcho branch held $19.4 million in deposits, as of June 30, 2014, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.

The acquisition will give CoVantage 13 branches in Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Baraboo will continue to operate 10 branches in Wisconsin. Baraboo in August agreed to sell a Fond du Lac, Wis., branch to Horicon Bank.
